CONTENT CREATOR + NEW MEDIA POLITICAL STRATEGIST

Maria Comstock is a creator-strategist uniquely positioned at the intersection of digital culture, progressive politics, and storytelling. She graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in political science and now lives and works in Cambridge, MA, where she merges two careers:

✰ Social media creator (2.4 million followers)

✰ Digital strategist for political campaigns and progressive causes

On the creator side, she’s best known for her flagship series “Asking a Retired Spy the Questions We REALLY Want to Know,” (@mariaisabellecomstock on TikTok and Instagram) featuring her father, a former cryptological linguist/spy. That series exploded in 2020 and gave her a platform built on curiosity, authenticity, and trust.

Simultaneously, she’s built a comedy-sketch and lifestyle presence (@possiblymaria on TikTok, @mariacomstock on Instagram) with hundreds of thousands of engaged followers, showcasing how culture, politics and everyday life collide.

On the campaign & strategy side, she brings that creator mindset into progressive communications: she’s helped lead influencer and digital strategy for campaigns (from local races to presidential), and is now expanding the influencer offering for clients launching into creator-driven mobilization. She thrives when a campaign says: “We need to MEET the voter where they are… not where we wish they were.”

Philosophy

Maria brings a creator-centric mindset into progressive communications: she has helped lead influencer and digital strategy for campaigns (from down-ballot races to presidential) and is now expanding the digital strategy offering for clients launching into social media-driven mobilization. She thrives when a campaign says, "We need to MEET the voter where they are, not where we wish they were.”

What she’s doing now

Working with clients to build creator and digital ecosystems that amplify issue campaigns via social platforms. Advising on short-form video content that humanizes movement politics while driving measurable action for progressive candidates.

Helping candidates BECOME creators.

Why it matters

In today’s political and media ecosystem, influence is no longer just paid media or speech from the podium. With 30-second vertical video, meme logic, and real-time authenticity, our audiences demand storytelling that feels tangible. For progressive causes, our work isn’t about polished perfection; it’s about power, narrative shift, and movement. Maria brings both the influencer lens and the organizer’s urgency.

An influencer’s lens with an organizer’s urgency.

Maria Here and There

NATO Summit 2026

Maria was one of the 27 worldwide creators invited to attend the 2026 NATO Summit in Ankara, Türkiye. She used her channel to feature prime ministers, top NATO officials, and general educational content about what NATO is, why it’s important, and how it affects all of us. Maria was the only influencer (and woman) allowed in the North Atlantic Council meeting as press. Highlights included meeting President Zelenskyy, asking the Prime Minister of Sweden what his favorite Pokemon is before immediately following it up with a question about acquiring nuclear weapons (featured above), and the plentiful cats!

Speaking Engagements

Maria has spoken at conferences and events worldwide, with some notable appearances at a spy conference in England, as well as her yearly DC Trending Up talks. She enjoys speaking on topics ranging from creators in politics and the new media era to right-wing radicalization and online pipelines.
